Anthony MARSH (Nepean) (14:34): (1824) My question is for the Minister for Health – the third Minister for Health in less than five months. Rosebud Hospital’s CT scanner is coming to the end of its life, much like this dying Labor government. It is the only publicly available CT scanner on the Mornington Peninsula and provides life-saving diagnostic imaging for emergency patients and hospital inpatients. Shockingly, after 12 years of Labor the local community is being asked to raise $1.5 million to replace essential equipment in a public hospital. Community Bank Southern Peninsula has stepped up to match donations dollar for dollar up to $250 000, while locals are being asked to dig into their own pockets. Their generosity is typical of the Peninsula community, but they should never have been put in this position. When will this dying Labor government step in to fund the outstanding amount required for Rosebud Hospital to purchase a new CT scanner?
