Mr JENNINGS (South Eastern Metropolitan—Leader of the Government, Special Minister of State, Minister for Priority Precincts, Minister for Aboriginal Affairs) (12:31): What I can say is that the government will not override legitimate concerns or the appropriate statutory authority to make any decision. Beyond that, it would be unwise for me to get into a hypothetical situation, which the minister in the other place was reluctant to do, in relation to any anxieties or apprehension that may exist. The government will work through any issue in relation to keeping our community safe and providing the communities with confidence in the days and months ahead.
