Mrs McARTHUR (Western Victoria) (13:02): My question is for the Treasurer and relates to the City of Geelong’s long-term ambition to create a northern aquatic and health hub at Waterworld in Norlane. Council has committed $20.6 million to the project and has already spent more than $2 million in preparatory work. It really is shovel ready. The investment would bring huge health, social and economic benefits to Corio, North Shore and Norlane. It is a top priority for Geelong and has been in the planning since 2015. Local member Mr Eren’s excuse last time around was:

Well, if that was ever true, it certainly is no longer. So my question is: will the Treasurer commit to supporting North Geelong in his next budget?
