Mrs McARTHUR (Western Victoria) (12:45): My question is to the minister for the environment and concerns Parks Victoria and the Jamieson Creek campground in the Great Otway National Park. Western Victoria desperately needs more tourism, yet Parks have failed to secure the permits to open this campground. I have an email from a family who in September booked for the Labour Day weekend, this weekend, but had that booking cancelled yesterday. To quote—and I promise, I am not making this up:

We are passionate about supporting our regional communities and were looking forward to coming into your electorate to support local businesses and get out into the regions again. However Parks Victoria had other ideas.

So I ask the minister: how will you improve the level of customer care Parks Victoria provide and stop our tourist economy becoming further sabotaged by your department and its bureaucracy?
